She gets role in “Pitch Perfect” series
“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland has landed a new role in the series. She will appear in the Pitch Perfect series with Adam DeVine.
Sarah Hyland (31) will take on a role in the new “Pitch Perfect” series. This is reported by the US industry magazine “Deadline”. The “Modern Family” star is listed as a new cast member alongside Jameela Jamil (36, “The Good Place”) and Lera Abova (29, “Anna”).
It had previously been announced that Adam DeVine (38), known from the “Pitch Perfect” films, will play the role of Bumper Allen once more. In addition, Flula Borg (39) will be seen once more as Pieter Krämer. The production should therefore start soon in Berlin. The screenplay was penned by Megan Amram (34). As in the films, Hollywood star Elizabeth Banks (48) is named as a producer.
What is the Pitch Perfect spin-off regarding?
The action takes place several years following the events of the films. Bumper moves to Germany to revive his music career following one of his songs was successful in Berlin. Hyland plays Heidi, Pieter and Bumper’s upbeat and slightly odd American assistant. She secretly dreams of starting out as a singer-songwriter herself.
Abova will play Piëter’s sister, a well-known Berlin DJ and music producer. Meanwhile, Jamil plays Gisela, an up-and-coming German pop star and Bumper’s main competitor at the German Unity Day concert. She will stop at nothing to hit him.
