The Federal Office for IT and Telecommunications (FOIT) will source mobile devices from Mobilezone over the next few years. The mobile phone company indicates in a press release that it won the contract following a public tender procedure. Mobilezone says it stood out as the only company that might fully cover the complex requirements of the tender.
The mandate does not only include the delivery of mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches, but also the provision of repair services, the handling of warranty cases and the management of the pool of replacement devices. According to the press release, the volume of the order amounts to 85 million francs over a maximum period of eight years. During this period, the FOITT will purchase around 80,000 smartphones, tablets and smartwatches from manufacturers Samsung and Apple.
“The partnership between the FOITT and Mobilezone is a perfect fit, because our corporate structure allows us to meet the complex requirements of the Federal Office fully and from a single source. We look forward to continuing our collaboration”, says Thomas Gülünay, Managing Director of Mobilezone Business.
