The new year is always an opportunity to make good resolutions. If you want to better manage your money, changing mobile plan is a good idea. Rather than spending a fortune on a plan that isn’t suited to your needs, why not take charge and reduce that cost?
In a few minutes, you can switch from one operator to another and keep your phone number. Prixtel is one of the few operators to allow at the start of the year to go below 10 euros per month without having to neglect its data envelope. Its Oxygen subscription is a breath of fresh air for those who want to make real savings. In addition, it is non-binding and carbon neutral.
In a decade, Prixtel has become an essential MVNO thanks to a tailor-made offer for each customer. It is an operator that allows to pay as close as possible to its actual use, which cannot be found anywhere else. And for all that, that does not mean that it is less readable for the customer. There is an easy to understand tier system that allows you to pay a very reasonable rate.
The easiest way is to take an example of this Oxygen mobile plan. By default, you will have to pay at least 9.99 euros per month for unlimited calls, SMS and MMS and 50 GB of mobile data in France. If you exceed this limit, you do not have to be afraid of the out-of-bundle. Prixtel adds two levels of data, 90 and 130 GB, which are displayed at very competitive prices: 12.99 euros and 15.99 euros per month.
This Oxygen mobile plan, like the other two in the range, has a specific operation: it’s a kind of 3-in-1 plan where you will be switched to the lowest level (so that it costs you the least expensive) . This Oxygen formula has an advantage over the other two Prixtel packages: the price does not change following the first year.
The other two Prixtel packages
If you see your short-term mobile plan, the two Le grand and Le Géant offers from Prixtel are suitable. They offer an even more aggressive data/price ratio during the first 6 months of your subscription. In the longer term, these are still quality subscriptions with a price that remains reasonable.
The Le grand package comes with 100 GB for 10.99 euros per month, for 6 months. This means that for 1 euro more than the Oxygen mobile plan, you have double the data. After this period at advantageous rates, the subscription goes back to 13.99 euros per month. For comparison, a player like RED by SFR (or B&YOU) is currently at 16 euros for 100 GB, so you are still getting a good deal with Prixtel.
Above all, Prixtel also relies on the SFR network for its offer. By opting for this mobile plan, you therefore have access to the 4G network of the operator SFR. It’s the same for all the packages in the range, including with this tier system. For Le grand, you have two levels at 120 and 140 GB which are respectively at 13.99 and 16.99 euros per month.
The last mobile phone plan, The giant, uses the codes of the first two. The only difference is that the tiers are higher. If you need a really big mobile data envelope, this is the right choice. While consumption only increases over the years, this gives you peace of mind over time. The smallest mobile plan comes with 140 GB, unlimited calls and texts for 12.99 euros per month.
If you need an extension, Prixtel allows you to increase to 170 GB for 15.99 euros and even 200 GB for 18.99 euros per month. This special offer only lasts the first 6 months following which each level increases by 3 euros per month. It’s still a very good choice. Above all, you can take advantage of the 5G network as an option with this formula called The Giant.
How to switch to Prixtel?
Prixtel is an operator in the same way as Orange, Bouygues Telecom or SFR. You can change your mobile plan and go to him in a few clicks. The first thing to do to keep your phone number is to call 3179 from your current phone. This free number will allow you to receive your RIO number. The latter is unique and is associated with your telephone number.
This code must be entered when registering on the Prixtel website. The operator will then take care of migrating your current number to them. The procedure is simple and automatic. You just need to change your SIM card (the operator will send you a new one) to take advantage of your new offer. Everything is easier today than it was a few years ago, so you can easily change your mobile plan.
The regulator has worked to force operators to simplify the process to help the French make large-scale savings. They are no longer forcibly held down by hard-to-break contracts. When you make this transfer request with your RIO code, you terminate your current contract with your current operator. This allows you to switch to a new mobile plan without having to struggle with customer services.
