Moawad presided over a mass at St. Charbel Church in Qaa El Reem on the occasion of the completion of the restoration work there

The Maronite Diocese of Zahle, Bishop Joseph Moawad, presided over the Divine Liturgy in St. Charbel Church in Qaa El-Reem, on the occasion of the completion of the restoration and maintenance work in the church, presented by Dr. Youssef Najib Sassin, who supervised and his team of work to finish these works meticulously, carefully and with daily follow-up.

The mass was attended by Dr. Sassine, Mayor of Qaa El Reem Municipality, Wissam Tannoury, Mr. Ghassan Saliba, Father Boulos Tannoury, Father Gabi Baini, and the town’s representatives and residents.

Bishop Moawad began his sermon by thanking the mayor, Dr. Sassin, and Mr. Saliba. He offered prayers to their families, asking the Lord to “reward them for everything they gave to this parish.” He also thanked the “small contributors”.

In his speech, Moawad stressed “the universal witness of Christ and Christian values ​​and not to be drawn into the spirit of the world.”

In his homily, he touched on “indifference to faith and neglect in spiritual matters of Christian believers.”

At the end of the liturgy, Bishop Moawad, Dr. Sassin and the rest of the audience and the gathering of the faithful headed to the churchyard, where Bishop Moawad recited the blessing prayer on a statue of Saint Charbel placed in the outer courtyard of the church, which was also offered by Dr. Youssef Sassin.

After that, the attendees moved to the church hall to receive the shields, “a token of thanks, gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made.” The celebration ended with a lunch hosted by the parish of Saint Charbel Church in honor of the honored.
