MMD launches large format Philips monitors

Philips brand license partner MMD is introducing two new monitors with a 40-inch screen diagonal. The devices should primarily appeal to professionals.

MMD launches two new monitors under Philips license: the 40B1U5600 and the 40B1U5601H. As the manufacturer states, the devices are aimed at “dynamic professionals who want to make 2023 their most productive year ever”.

The monitors have a screen diagonal of 40 inches (1.02 m) and come with a headphone holder. Both models have a USB-C input that delivers power, video signal and internet. The 40B1U5601H model also offers a DisplayPort input for daisy chaining and an integrated 5 megapixel camera.

With the integrated multi-client KVM switch, users can control two separate PCs via a monitor-keyboard-mouse setup and switch between sources.

Both monitors also have various energy-saving functions, for example the so-called power sensor, which is supposed to automatically adjust the brightness of the screen to the presence or absence of the user. The manufacturer promises that energy consumption can be reduced by up to 75 percent.

The Philips 40B1U5600 is now available for CHF 809 (RRP). The Philips 40B1U5601H will be launched in mid-January at an RRP of CHF 909.

In November, MMD is launching a monitor specifically for creative professionals, as you can read here.
