Fan or not, MMA remains a sport of rare violence. As demonstrated a week ago by a women’s fight between Mexican Irene Aldana and Brazilian Norma Dumont. A head-to-head clash between the two fighters would cause a deep cut on Aldana’s forehead, causing blood to flow abundantly down her face.
Despite this rather impressive injury, the Mexican went to the end of the fight, which she lost by unanimous decision of the judges, visibly not moved by the exceptional courage and resilience of the one who occupied the 6th world ranking.
