MLS: Philadelphia still the only undefeated team

The Philadelphia Union overcame a two-goal deficit to escape with a 2-2 draw once morest Atlanta United on Sunday.

The Union (4-0-3) is the only team still undefeated in MLS.

The first goal of the match came in the 55th minute, as Daniel Rios scored his first career goal in the league to give Atlanta the lead (3-2-2). The 29-year-old rookie forward was making his first start and only his second appearance.

19-year-old Caleb Wiley doubled the lead in the 62nd minute.

It was then that Mikael Uhre and defender Kai Wagner turned the tide in the space of four minutes. Uhre took advantage of a pass from Quinn Sullivan in the 73rd minute to score his third of the season, then Wagner followed suit with his first goal of the year.

Union goalkeeper Andre Blake was injured in the 45th minute following making two saves and he gave way to Oliver Semmie, who made the same.

Atlanta will try to collect the 100th victory in its history next Saturday once morest Cincinnati. Philly will enjoy a long bye before receiving a visit from Real Salt Lake.

Atlanta finally celebrates a victory

In the only other matchup on the schedule today, St. Louis defeated Austin 1-0.

Joao Klauss completed passes from Rasmus Alm and rookie defender Tomas Totland to score the winning goal in the 57th minute. It was his second success of the season.

St Louis (2-1-5) finally tasted victory following compiling four draws and one defeat in its last five meetings.

Roman Burki didn’t have to make a single save en route to his second straight shutout and third of the campaign.

Brad Stuver made a save in each half for Austin (2-3-3).
