Monterrey is the only team from Mexico that reached the Semifinals of the tournament, but it can still turn the score around in direct duels
The MLS has recovered from the dominance of the Liga MX in the direct duels in the Leagues Cup and currently, after concluding the quarterfinals, boasts more victories than defeats against Mexican clubs, with a score of 23-22 in favor of the teams of United States and Canada.
Liga MX dominated the 2023 Leagues Cup in the group stage, with 16 wins and 14 losses against MLS teams. However, teams from the United States and Canada have bounced back in the knockout phase of the Concacaf tournament.

Only Querétaro was able to win their commitment, by beating the New England Revolution in a series of penalties.
In the quarterfinals there were two matches between clubs from Liga MX and MLS, with a win for each competition. Querétaro fell 2-1 to the Philadelphia Union, while Monterrey, Mexico’s lone survivor, beat LAFC 2-3.
In the absence of the semifinals and final of the Leagues Cup 2023, a total of 45 games have been played between teams from the Liga MX and the MLS, with a favorable score of 23-22 for those from the United States and Canada.
The semifinals will have duel No. 46 between Liga MX and MLS, which will be the Monterrey match, the only survivor of Mexico, against Nashville, a duel that will be played next Tuesday, August 15.
