Endy Chávez and Edgardo Alfonzo were uniformed with the New York Mets, in the game that honored the old legends of the New York team. Both Creole sluggers put on the shirt of the Metropolitans and played an exhibition game, in front of all the fans that gathered at Citi Field in Flushing Meadows.
The SNY broadcast, captured a turn of Edgardo Alfonzo against the Dominican Bartolo Colón. The Creole infielder hit a fly to center field, which was captured by his countryman Endy Chávez comfortably.

This is the first edition of the so-called “Old-Timers Game” or franchise legends game. Former Venezuelan pitcher Johan Santana was unable to attend the game due to various commitments with the Minnesota Twins.
