On July 1, 2023, Kilian Hirschmugl will assume the role of federal youth chairman of the Middle School Cartel Association (MKV), succeeding Moritz Mittermann.
Vienna (OTS) – “On September 9th we will celebrate 90 years of MKV – this will also shape my term of office. On the one hand, we want to look back on the past 90 years, but we also want to make our MKV fit for the years and decades to come. To this end, we will hold panel discussions in the nine federal states. We want to take a look at the big picture. Together with experienced members, but also with guests, we want to shed light on the history and future of the MKV. It is also important to me to support our individual connections in public relations, especially in the digital area. Another focus will be on student representation. There should be further help for our youngest members who want to get involved for their classmates,” reports Hirschmugl.
He wants to achieve this together with his deputies Christian Liedler from St. Pölten and Dominic Prinz from Graz. Daniel Platter from Dornbirn was also elected to the youth board.
“The time as federal youth chairman was absolutely great. During this time I was able to get to know hundreds of people and gain experience that I wouldn’t want to miss. I particularly remember the countless discussions, but also the projects that we were able to implement. Among other things, the commemoration work for those persecuted under the Nazi terror regime, but also an Austria-wide representative school survey on the subject of distance learning, should be mentioned here. The psychological stress on the students was also addressed in this survey, which subsequently led to the petition “Act in solidarity – save youth psyche from triage”. I wish Kilian all the best in his new role,” says Mittermann, looking back on his two-year term.
