DEPUTY Chairman of the MKD DPR RI Nazarudin Dek Gam asked the police to discipline motorists who use fake DPR service plates. He said this after finding a private vehicle using fake DPR plates.
“MKD asks the National Police to arrest and criminalize users and users of fake motor vehicle number plates (TNKB) or DPR number plates,” Dek Gam told reporters, Saturday (4/5).
He admitted that finding fake DPR plates had happened several times. Some time ago there were also fake DPR number plates on one of the Alphard cars where the police committed suicide. He said that today he had again found a fake DPR RI plate.
“Today we found another fake DPR number plate being used. This time the one using a fake DPR number plate was a Mercedes G Class car with DPR number plate 19-III. The number III on the back is the code for the head of Commission III, but not the number 19 on the back. “The front is not the leader’s number,” he said.
He emphasized that the use of fake plates that are not intended could be subject to criminal sanctions. He urged the police to move.
“Forgery of number plates is a criminal offense as regulated in Article 263 of the Criminal Code which carries a penalty of 6 years in prison,” he said. (Z-8)
