MK Vettori abandoned the studio “Chaim Va Mayan”

“If he had come, we would have done a good job – but he got up and ran away”: During a military and political panel on “Haim Va Ma’yan” that dealt with the events after the attack in Iran, presenter Haim Atgar stopped the discussion to inform that Knesset member Nissim Vatori, who was supposed to be interviewed, decided to leave the studio. “Vatori ran away. The member of the Knesset, the deputy speaker of the Knesset, was supposed to be interviewed. He arrived, put on make-up and the fear rose,” he said. “Mysterious fears that he will be ambushed and that we will treat him in an indecent manner,” he said in humor. “He sat, thought, and if he had come we would have done a good job – he got up and ran. We prepared fair and good questions as in any program.”

“This is a man who broke the law before he was a member of the Knesset, manipulated a very bad smell to become a member of the Knesset, said ‘burn Gaza’ when he was in office and provided The Hague with cards against us,” added the presenter Maayan Adam. “He also said: ‘Lucky from Heaven that October 7th wasn’t worse.’ , it’s a good thing he didn’t enter my studio, he was smart. He’s supposed to be on the fringes of the news, but actually in the most influential committees.”

This week it was published in Mako that Vettori presented a certificate of appreciation to Eyal Golan “on behalf of the Knesset” for his work during the war – which prompted an official response from the Mossad that “the certificate was not awarded to Eyal Golan on our behalf”. Explaining the fact, Vettori said that “there was a requirement that we write ‘Knesset’ under the logo, I cannot issue a certificate from the Knesset that is not labeled under the Mossad.” He also added that the certificate has meaning when he gives it due to his position, and that he hopes that whoever it bothers him will understand that he did it to say thank you to those who donated and volunteered.

The political commentator Noam Adri who sat on the panel commented. “MK Vettori is the worst thing that happened to Likud, a purely accidental connection between him and Likud. A presenter for the bad times the Likud is going through,” and Chaim Etgar noted that the Knesset member’s car could be seen leaving the studio. “‘You set up an ambush for me,’ he said,” he signed and tried to call him on air, but without an answer.
