digital games on the rise

In recent years, digital games and the virtual world have become even more in evidence. according to a industry data analysis, carried out by the Gente Globo portal, in 2022 around 75.5% of the population declared to have the habit of playing digital games. In addition to being a fun alternative, some people become professionals in the area, as professional players or even developers.

The children’s audience represents a significant portion of this increase. Second a study carried out by Giga Gloob, children from 2 to 8 years old have access to different entertainment devices at an earlier age, due to technological globalization. In this sense, the study also states that parents seek and choose safer options, which follow the child’s age group.

The CEO of Mk+ comments that, at the institution, digital games are designed with clear visualization and instructions, which can facilitate understanding for children with communication difficulties. “Some games are interactive with other players, either online or in a physical multiplayer environment. This dynamic encourages socializing, collaboration and teamwork,” she adds.

The specialist also mentions that virtual reality games simulate real-world situations, such as visits to supermarkets or social interactions, and can allow children to practice different social and behavioral skills in a learning environment.
