It was previously rumored that Xiaomi and Leica will cooperate to build a new generation of imaging flagship, which may be named Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra. Now the cooperation between the two parties has been finalized.
On March 29th, xiaomiui.net found traces of Leica in the MIUI album source code, and Leica filters appeared in the MIUI album source code, which means that Xiaomi and Leica have reached a strategic cooperation.
It is reported that Leica filters will be added to the MIUI album. With these filters, users can freely take photos with “German flavor”.
Combined with the previously exposed news, the imaging flagship jointly created by Xiaomi and Leica will debut in Q2 this year. The machine has added Leica imaging algorithm, supports 8K film master Leica video filter, supports Leica natural color and black and white filter and so on.
Not only that, the Xiaomi imaging flagship has three cameras, the three cameras are the super-large bottom main camera, the ultra-wide-angle and the periscope telephoto, which are expected to support OIS optical image stabilization.
As we all know, the previous generation of imaging flagship Mi 11 Ultra once dominated the DXOMARK list. Now that Xiaomi and Leica are cooperating, the imaging will be improved to a higher level, and the possibility of dominating the DXOMARK list once more cannot be ruled out.
