Mitsubishi presented the XRT concept

Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the XRT concept pickup truck, according to an official press release. It is this appearance that the new generation L200 (in some markets – Triton) can get.

The current fifth generation Mitsubishi Triton / L200 has been produced since 2015, and in 2019 the car was restyled, following which it received boomerang-shaped decorative elements on the front, forming the letter X.

The new XRT concept is completely covered in masking film, but even through it you can see that the front end also received boomerang-shaped elements, a large grille and narrow LED headlights.

The new generation Triton/L200 will go on sale during fiscal year 2023 (which runs from April 2023 to March 2024). At the same time, the car as part of the Mitsubishi Rallyart team will perform at the Asia Cross Country Rally, which will be held from 13 to 19 August. The technical part of the novelty has not yet been disclosed, however, Western publications surethat the pickup truck will share a platform with the next generation Nissan Navara, get new diesel powertrains and even electric motors.

Earlier, Autonews.ru reported that a subsidiary of Mitsubishi will develop a sports version of the Outlander crossover.
