Through his consultations, the Italian-Swedish diplomat tries to test the waters and take note of the positions of all the countries concerned. An objective that aligns with Security Council resolution 2654, which called on the Polisario Front, Algeria and Mauritania to engage with the Personal Envoy throughout the political process, in a spirit of realism and compromise, with a view to bringing it to fruition.
