Benjamin Netanyahu admitted the mistake of the Israeli armed forces, which resulted in the death of seven workers of the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen.
The organization’s car was attacked following it had unloaded humanitarian aid, with the dead coming from Australia, the United Kingdom, Poland and the USA where the organization is based, while the Palestinian driver of the vehicle, who carried the insignia, was also killed of WCK.
World Central Kitchen suspended its operations following the incident by reporting it Israel for a “targeted and unforgivable attack”, with the case having caused the reaction of the White House as well.
Netanyahu: “The hit was unintentional”
In Israel, the IDF and Foreign Ministry sent their condolences to allied countries and assured them that an investigation would be conducted, while the country’s prime minister spoke of an inadvertent mistake.
“It is a tragic incident that our forces inadvertently hit innocent people in Gaza Strip. This is what happens in war and we will investigate it to the end. We are in contact with the governments involved and will do everything we can to ensure this does not happen once more,” said Netanyahuwhich for the first time since the start of the war with Hamas, Israel apologized for attacking the opposite side, admitting its mistake.
The attack once morest the organization caused strong reactions from the political world as well. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spoke of the victim from his country, Lalzaoumi Francom, saying he was “voluntarily working overseas to provide help through this charity to people who are suffering terrible deprivation in Gaza. We are waiting for an explanation from Israel.”

According to iefimerida, Poland also asked for an explanation, while the USA and Britain expressed their “devastation”, asking for an investigation.
And Josep Borel condemned the attack, as did the president of Cyprus, Nikos Christoudoulidis.
