Mission advancement: Stanislav Stevic takes over coaching position in Hallein

The 49-year-old should lead the 1b team to the championship title in the spring.

Salzburg league team Hallein is also pursuing big goals with its second team. One point is missing from league leaders Elsbethen in 2nd Class North B. In the spring, the UFC kickers are expected to overtake their local rivals under new leadership. Stanislav Stevic takes over as head coach. He is assisted by Vajo Zaric, the agent’s best man in Hallein, and Önder Esatbeyoglu as assistant coach.

Hallein 1b is aiming for promotion

“With this commitment we are setting an example. We are happy that he is coming to Hallein. Our team is good. He can develop young players here,” says sports director David König, who praises Stevic as a multiple champion coach. In fact, the 49-year-old recently led ATSV Salzburg into the 1st regional league for the first time (2023) and Thalgau into the Salzburg league for the first time (2018). At the beginning of his coaching career, the gifted footballer (and singer) also brought promotion to Palting/Seeham in Upper Austria in 2013.

“Hallein is on the right track”

In Hallein, Stevic, whose tenure at the city club ATSV recently came to an inglorious end, has initially agreed to work for six months. “The club’s philosophy is good, the enthusiasm is great. Hallein is on the right track. The goal is promotion,” says new coach Stevic. He sees potential. “It is no longer a given that a 1b team has a squad of 20 players. There are young players here to develop.”
