Two weeks ago, a 13-year-old girl was reported missing in Texas and now authorities have revealed that she was “found locked in an outbuilding more than 1,000 miles away following a North Carolina man induced her to leave their home, authorities said Monday,” said nbcnews.com.
Man incited the girl on social networks
The girl was found in Davidson County, which is south of Winston-Salem, on Friday night, Davidson County Sheriff Richie Simmons said at a press conference.
The person who was arrested for the incident was Jorge Ivan Santos Camacho, 34 years old. He is charged with child abduction, criminal restraint, rape and other charges, authorities said. “The two had communicated on social media chat shows,” Simmons said. “He lured her so that she would actually leave the house,” Simmons added.
Guilty of kidnapping children
The man, in addition to speaking with the girl via social media chat, also had a residence in the annex building where the victim was found, the property’s owner told Winston-Salem’s NBC affiliate WXII.
To find the culprit, the sheriff’s office received a call from the Dallas FBI and only then might they track down Camacho and follow his movements to find the missing girl.
Surveillance to find the missing girl
“Camacho was placed under surveillance and made a traffic stop around 6 pm Friday,” Simmons said. “The girl was found in what was described as an outbuilding that was locked from the outside,” the sheriff’s office said.
Finally, the girl was found and is already with her loved ones. The culprit was set on $1.25 million bail Monday, the sheriff’s office said.
