A Caldwell mother and daughter with different needs who were reported missing in Idaho have been found dead in Grant County, Oregon.This was reported by Caldwell Police Chief Rex Ingram.
Dawna Roe, 52, and Gabrielle Roe, 16, were last seen in their 2004 Toyota pickup according to witnesses heading west on Interstate 84 near Fruitland, they were apparently going to a camp.
After the police were notified of Dawna and Gabrielle’s disappearance, an announcement was issued to ask the population for help to find them, through Facebook from the Caldwell police, broadcast the message with pictures of the two women.
On July 8 within the same wanted notice, the police updated the post to write: “Gabby and Dawna have been located and their family has been notified.”
Chief Rex Ingram said that “Preliminary information shows everything indicates a murder-suicide shooting”reported KTVB7.
Grant County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that Dawna and Gabrielle Roe were located northwest of Drewsey, Oregon in the 2004 Toyota pickup where they were last seen.
Grant and Harney County Police, They responded to a report of a van with deceased persons. The vehicle was located in a remote location on public land that was found by Silvies Ranch employees.
Oregon State Police, Oregon State Police Forensic Staff and the Major Crimes Team responded to the scene with officers from Grant and Harney counties, upon being identified by the medical examiner, they discovered that they were wanted in Idaho.
The daughter and sister of the victims created a GoFundMe to cover the funeral expenses, where she reported that she received the worst news when she was informed of the death of her family. He also detailed that his sister was a noble soul and detailed that his mother had a mental illness.
The newscast KTVB7 through its web portal launched a notice for citizens in case they have information related to the case, to be able to continue with the investigation, although until now the police consider that the mother killed the girl and then shot herself.
