Grindelwald – A mountaineer from Austria who has been missing since mid-August has been found dead near Grindelwald. The 35-year-old Austrian is one of the two alpinists from Vorarlberg who have been missing since mid-August following an ice break caused an avalanche. The man was seen on Tuesday during a transport flight in a crevasse in the Arctic Ocean, as the Bern cantonal police announced on Thursday. There was still no trace of his mountain comrade, who was also missing.
