Missile attack near Ukraine nuclear power plant | Russia | Ukraine | Ukraine crisis

Kyiv – A Russian missile hit a residential area just 30 kilometers from a nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, causing panic. 12 people including 5 children were injured. The missile hit a five-story residential complex in the town of Voznesensk, near Yuzhnokrainsk, Ukraine’s second largest nuclear power plant. It is in Mykhailo province. Ukraine has accused that the missile was sent to target the nuclear power plant. They also pointed out that the Russian forces had tried to seize this nuclear plant in early March.

Ukraine sought the help of the United Nations and international agencies once morest Russia’s new move. The largest nuclear power plant in Europe was seized by Russian forces following the start of the Zaporizhia war in Ukraine. The UN had earlier expressed concern regarding nuclear safety as the Ukrainian forces also stepped in to recapture this nuclear power plant.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry has accused Ukraine of poisoning its soldiers in Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine. But Ukraine responded that Russian soldiers were poisoned by consuming expired canned meat.
