Miss France: no crown for Orianne Meloni

Orianne Meloni, Miss Corsica 2022did not pass the stage of the first selection of the Miss France 2033 election, to which thirty young women representing the regions and overseas territories of the country presented themselves. The 22-year-old Ajaccienne, final year student at the Nursing Training Institute of his city, was not among the fifteen semi-finalists. The ax fell on the stroke of 11:20 p.m.

Previously, composing numerous and superb paintings on the stage of the MACH 36 in Châteauroux which hosted the competition, Oriane Meloni defended the colors of her island with great elegance and grace.

The last Miss Corsica crowned Miss France thus remains Pauline Pô, who had won the supreme title of beauty queen in 1921. Eva Colas, Miss Corsica 2017, had flirted with the crown, becoming the first runner-up to Miss France 2018. Noémie Leca and Emma Renucci, Miss Corsica 2020 and 2021, had subsequently reached the semi-finals.

Indira Ampiot, Miss Guadeloupe has won the coveted crown. She was able to pull out of the game just ahead of Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Miss Franche-Comté, respectively first and second runners-up.

She succeeds Diane Leyre who won the title in 2022 by competing for Ile-de-France.
