Serious medical negligence occurred in London, England. Joshua Warner, a 25-year-old man, suffered from headaches and nausea for more than 2 weeks in June this year. He went to the hospital and was diagnosed with appendicitis. However, Warner not only did not improve following surgery, but further examination revealed brain abnormalities. , but the doctor denied the test results as “there is a problem with the machine.” Warner was not confirmed to have a brain tumor until he was transferred to the hospital in a coma and died 12 days later.

According to the “Daily Mail” report, Warner, from Crayford, went to Darent Valley Hospital for medical treatment. Appendicitis was diagnosed by computerized tomography and removed, but he died “a few hours following the operation”. I went back to the hospital because of discomfort. The family sadly revealed that it was not until Warner was transferred to the hospital followingwards that a huge tumor was found on the right side of his brain that had extended to his back and brainstem.

What makes the family even more angry is that the hospital’s doctors sent Warner home just because there was a problem with the equipment. Warner’s mother, Eve Pateman, angrily accused the hospital of not only misdiagnosing, but also accusing her son of taking drugs containing Codeine. Because of the opioid drug, the hospital even refused his son’s request for emergency treatment many times, causing Warner to delay treatment. A few weeks later, he passed out in the bathroom of his grandparents’ house and was transferred to another hospital for treatment and examination.

When Warner was diagnosed with midline glioma in September, it had already entered stage 4 due to the course of the disease and might not be removed by surgery. He was also judged to have only 3 months to live, which is 8 to 11 months longer than the average for patients with the same disease. Life was much shorter. Unexpectedly, he passed away only 12 days following diagnosis.

Warner’s family has lodged a complaint once morest Darent Valley Hospital for misdiagnosis, accusing the hospital of misdiagnosing the headache as “referred pain” from the appendix, not taking the patient’s “no gastrointestinal discomfort” seriously, and refusing to believe the instrument data. It is also reported that the local National Health Service (NHS) agency has launched an investigation.
