An explosion took place in a two-storey building located at 36 rue Victor Giraud in La Ciotat. The facts occurred around 3 a.m., on the night of Monday to Tuesday. A 48-year-old woman was killed in an explosion in the room she was in.
Firefighters say “the explosion is voluntary and was produced with the intention of killing oneself by firing a system with, among other things, bottles of alcohol”.
A person in shock was transferred to the La Ciotat hospital center. A total of ten people were evacuated.
An investigation is underway.
