Misbehaving Marc van der Linden opens Boulevard: ‘Very sad’

Marc van der Linden was spared by his former colleagues from RTL Boulevard for two years, but yesterday they still made him the opening item. “Really, very sad.”

He was once the royalty expert of RTL Boulevard, but in recent years he has completely disappeared: Marc van der Linden. Two years ago he left the show section in a very strange way – he was not even allowed to say goodbye to the viewer – but Boulevard never responded to the rumors that cocaine use was the reason.

Police cell

All in all: Marc is really not doing well, but so far he has been spared quite a bit by the media, partly due to his health problems. The news about him being in a police cell was only briefly mentioned in Boulevard two years ago, but yesterday the ANP suddenly confirmed that the Public Prosecution Service is investigating the case.

Marc denies

Marc denies everything. He says in a written response to Boulevard: “The accusations are 100 percent untrue. There is no video. And so no video ever came into circulation. I never threatened anyone, that’s not my style. None of it is true!”

And on Recovering from a cerebral infarction at rest is apparently impossible 🥲! And decent media like AD will simply take over!”

What does John say?

Marc must be angry that Boulevard opened with him. Crime journalist John van den Heuvel: “We all know him here as a colleague and it is always sad when you see that a colleague is in all kinds of problems. Health problems and now perhaps also judicial problems. In any case, you certainly don’t wish that on him.”

“On the other hand: if there really was criminal behavior, then justice must also take its course, even for an ex-Boulevard expert, and that is why we are now reporting on it. But as a human being it is of course a personal tragedy that happened to him last year.”
