“Washington” chose forward Ivan Miroshnichenko 20th pick in the draft NHL.

“Vanguard” announced in early March that the 18-year-old hockey player was undergoing treatment in Germany. It was reported that the player was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma – a malignant disease of the lymphoid tissue.

In June reportedthat the striker of the Omsk club has undergone a course of treatment, is allowed to train and is ready to play next season.

Miroshnichenko spent the last season in the team “Omsk Wings” in VHL. He scored 16 (10+6) points in 31 matches with an average playing time of 15:36.

In 2021, Miroshnichenko, as part of the Russian national team, won the Glinka / Gretzky Cup (9 points in 5 matches of the tournament, 4 + 5) and became the silver medalist of the Junior World Championship (8 points in 7 matches of the tournament, 6 + 2).
