Miriam and Felix Neureuther: third child here! That’s the name

The Neureuther family has a new member!

Miriam (31) and Felix (38) are happy regarding their third child. On Monday, the couple made their happiness public on their two Instagram accounts.

Felix Neureuther posted a photo showing daughter Matilda (4) and son Leo (2) holding the newborn’s hand. The former ski racer (2005 world champion with the team) writes, alluding to the number of children: “2+1=3.”

Miriam Neureuther’s Instagram account even reveals the name of the little ones! It shows a baby wrapped in a woolen blanket and wearing a floral patterned romper. The former cross-country skier and biathlete (Olympic silver 2010 with the cross-country skiing relay, world champion 2011 and 2012 with the biathlon relay) writes with a heart emoji “Lotta” and “Little Sister”.

Miriam and Felix met in a rehabilitation clinic and have been a couple since the summer of 2013. They married in September 2017. Miriam gave birth to daughter Matilda on October 14, 2017 and son Leo on February 7, 2020. Both had already retired from their active sports careers in 2019 in order to be able to concentrate on their private lives.

Now Lotta makes the family happiness perfect! Miriam Neureuther had already made her pregnancy public at the beginning of the year. At the time, she wrote on Instagram regarding a picture of her baby bump: “Our family continues to grow”.

A few months later the time has finally come! Some stars and friends of the couple sent congratulations directly to the happy news via Instagram. These included three-time Olympic toboggan champion Felix Loch (32), Ana Ivanovic (34), ex-tennis player and partner of Felix Neureuther’s big friend Bastian Schweinsteiger (37), and long-distance runner Sabrina Mockenhaupt-Gregor (41).
