Minya Health: Providing family planning and reproductive health services to 124,000 beneficiaries within a month

The Directorate of Health in Minya continued to provide medical and treatment services in family planning clinics in health units in all centers of the governorate, during last November, as part of the governorate’s efforts to take care of the Egyptian family and reproductive health, in order to ensure the safety and health of citizens.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Nadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, said that the medical teams at the family planning clinics were able to provide family planning and reproductive health services to 124,770 beneficiaries, including 15,544 new and 109,226 frequent, in addition to providing other services implemented by the Ministry of Health. Seminars for awareness and health education, and the disbursement of various family planning methods.

Dr. Wafaa Badawi, Director General of the Family Planning Department, stated that 122,881 home visits were carried out by rural pioneers, and 66,309 women were referred to family planning and reproductive health clinics, health care was provided to 19,070 pregnant women, and health care was provided to 1,695 postpartum women. Implementation of a number of educational and awareness seminars, where 23,612 seminars were implemented on the Corona virus, 23,612 seminars on family planning and reproductive health, and 19,472 seminars on chronic diseases and breast self-examination.
