For this Sunday, April 17, the well-known return plan was activated in Bogotá, following the culmination of Holy Week, which seeks that the millions of families who left their places of origin to enjoy the first vacation season of the year, can return safely to their homes.

Given this scenario, the Bogotá Mobility Secretariat estimated that more than 600,000 vehicles will enter the Colombian capital during the day. In addition, he pointed out that the most congested entrance will be that of the South Highway.

The entity, likewise, made a series of recommendations for travelers entering and leaving the city, asking them to move with caution, respect the traffic regulations, have the complete road kit and have the technical-mechanical revision up to date.

“There will be more than 1,000 uniformed personnel in the main road corridors entering and exiting the city and more than 30 fixed checkpoints, as well as five mobiles that carry out surveillance and control tasks,” he specified.

Felipe Ramírez, district secretary of Mobility, recalled that the regional peak and plate measure will be applied this Sunday, April 17, in the main road corridors of the capital.

“We invite all travelers who must enter Bogotá at the end of the Easter weekend, to plan their trip taking into account the peak and regional plate of Easter Sunday. We recommend an early return to the city to avoid road congestion,” said the official.
