Minsal reports less than 2,000 new cases of covid-19 and positivity reaches 13% | National

Active Case Search

Of the 1,985 new cases, 65% are diagnosed by antigen test, 26% are caused by Active Case Search (BAC) and 10% of those notified are asymptomatic.

The Metropolitan Region presents 65% by antigen, 31% by BAC and 6% of the reported cases are asymptomatic.

According to the sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Los Lagos.

On the other hand, the Arica and Parinacota region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Tarapacá, Atacama and Los Ríos.

ICU and deceased

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 4 deaths due to causes associated with covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 62,749 in the country.

To date, 113 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 92 are supported by mechanical ventilation.

In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 308 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.

Diagnostic capacity and Health Residences

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 11,169 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 47,328,558 analyzed nationwide to date.

The positivity for the last 24 hours in the Metropolitan region is 11.04%.

Regarding the Sanitary Residences, there are 13 lodging facilities available, with a total of 782 beds. The real occupancy at the national level is 32%, leaving a total of 343 beds available for use.
