The Ministry of Health reported 3,134 new coronavirus infections, the highest figure in six months (there were 3,368 on July 4, 2021), while the cases that are in the active stage of the virus reached 12,569 thousand.
Positivity reached 3.84% nationwide, being the highest rate since November 30, when a positivity of 3.26% was reported.

In the Metropolitan Region, meanwhile, positivity remained at 4%. All this with 74,438 PCR tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Of the 3,134 new cases, 20% are diagnosed by antigen test, 37% originates from Active Case Search (BAC) and 31% of those notified are asymptomatic. Regarding the Metropolitan Region, presents 14% per antigen, a 22% by BAC Y 28% of reported cases are asymptomatic.
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Tarapacá, The Araucanía, Magallanes Y Antofagasta.
