Mariano Miño told how he is in the process of recovering from the serious injury he suffered in 2022. The 28-year-old hitch tore the cruciate ligaments in his right knee. It happened on June 19 at the Gigante de Alberdi, when Belgrano drew 0-0 with Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, for the First National.
Speaking to Belgrano of First, Miño said: “I’m fine. We add several soccer practices and, well, possibly on the next date I will play a few minutes in the Reserve to go grabbing soccer minutes and be available to the coach.
And he added: “I feel good, we are going to try to add official minutes to be available as soon as possible.”
Belgrano has seven points in five dates so far in the Professional League. They beat River (2-1 in Córdoba) and Central Córdoba (1-0 in Santiago) and drew with Racing (0-0 in Avellaneda). Then they lost consecutively to Argentinos (0-3 in Buenos Aires) and Tigre (0-2 at home at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium).
The team showed many deficiencies in attack at the start of the season, so the reappearance of Miño would be an option for coach Guillermo Farré to make changes.
Belgrano plays once more on Monday, March 6, visiting Arsenal, in Sarandí.
