At least, this signing makes him think regarding his options. According to TSN reporter Pierre LeBrun, Talbot’s agent, George Bazos, went to meet Wild General Manager Bill Guerin on the floor of the Bell Center during the third round of the NHL Entry Draft. Bazos reportedly claimed that both clans “have expressed their positions” and that “Billy will have a lot to think regarding.”
Talbot, 35, still has a year left on his contract with the Wild. He is expected to earn just over $3.6 million.
For his part, reports Mike Russo of The Athletic media, Guerin replied to Bezos: “I don’t give a fuck at all regarding all that (“I don’t have shit to do”). Cam Talbot is under contract. George can say whatever he wants. My team is ready and so it is. We might have all the talk in the world. Cam is a member of our team. We like it very much. All we’re trying to do is win. »
