Minnesota to celebrate November 1 as Kerala Birth Day NRI

Minnesota ∙ Minnesota Governor Tim Walls has announced that November 1st will be celebrated as Kerala Birth Day. The governor made this announcement out of respect for the contributions of Minnesota Malayalis for the state. Minnesota Malayali Association is a Malayali organization working in Minnesota for the past 20 years. President Manoj Prabhu said that this recognition will strengthen the activities of the organization.

The association plays a vital role in introducing the art, culture and customs of the country to the new generation. Secretary Sajith Padmaja commented that this is a proud moment for all American Malayalis. She also said that the Kerala Birth Day will be celebrated with various programmes.
