Minnesota lost 6-3 to Colorado in the NHL without Rossi

Without Marco Rossi, the Minnesota Wild conceded their third defeat in the third game of the season in the North American ice hockey professional league NHL on Monday. The 21-year-old from Vorarlberg did not appear in the squad when the Wild lost 6-3 at home once morest defending champion Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota conceded 20 goals in their first three games – the last time that fate befell the Detroit Red Wings in 1989/90.

Wild trainer Dean Evason then showed himself combative. “We’re getting too many goals. We’re all responsible for that and we’re going to stop it.” The coach put Rossi on the “Healthy Scratch” list and fielded Mason Shaw in his place on the fourth line, who went 5:46 without a scorer’s point.

Regarding Rossi’s elimination, Evason said: “He’s a young man in the process of development. He’s going to do great things for us.” Rossi should not take the non-nomination negatively. “It’s an opportunity for him to show a reaction and maybe breathe a little,” explained Evason.
