The Ministry of the Interior announced today (8) days the household registration statistics for March 2010. The Ministry of the Interior pointed out that the population of Taiwan at the end of March 2011 was 23,525,623, a decrease of 70,870 compared with the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 0.30%, and an average decrease of 194.2 people per day. If compared with the previous month, it decreased by 13,965 people, a decrease of 0.06%. As far as counties and cities are concerned, compared with the same month of the previous year, Taipei City had the largest decrease of 1.85%, followed by Pingtung County with a decrease of 0.83%, followed by Chiayi County with a decrease of 0.79%; Lianjiang County had the highest population increase rate. 2.32%, followed by Hsinchu County with 1.15%, followed by Taoyuan City with 0.72%.
From the point of view of household registration migration, the net number of emigrants in March 2011 was 11,346. In terms of counties and cities, Taipei City had the largest net emigration population of 6,116, followed by Changhua County with 1,287 and Kaohsiung City with 1,175; Hsinchu County had the largest net immigration with 453, followed by Taoyuan City with 226. people, followed by Hsinchu City with 49 people.
In March 2011, the death toll was 16,438, with an average death rate of one person every 2.7 minutes, equivalent to an annual crude death rate of 8.22‰, an increase of 355 or 2.21% over the same month of the previous year; the number of births was 13,819, with an average rate of A baby was born in 3.2 minutes, equivalent to an annual crude birth rate of 6.91‰, a decrease of 549 persons or 3.82% compared with the same month of the previous year.
