The media office of the Ministry of Public Health issued a statement saying: “The Ministry is following up the circumstances of the death of the child, who was transferred twice in a row on the same day to Al-Minya Governmental Hospital.”
The statement added, “Under the directives of the Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, the Medical Care Directorate in the ministry has initiated the necessary investigation into the circumstances of the death with those concerned to clarify its causes. The Ministry of Public Health will deposit all its data with the competent judiciary to take the necessary action.”
He continued, “It should also be noted that the Public Prosecution Office in the North sent two forensic doctors to conduct the medical examination and the necessary examinations to draw up a report that clarifies the details of the child’s health condition that led to her death.”
