REVITALIZATION of the Occupational Safety and Health Center (K3) is a manifestation of the Ministry of Manpower’s seriousness in carrying out Labor Inspection Reform. Therefore, the Indonesian Minister of Manpower (Menaker) continues to encourage the revitalization of K3 Centers so that efforts to massify and expand the capacity and reach of K3 testing can truly support efforts to prevent work-related accidents and diseases, and create a healthy, safe workforce. , and productive.
“We continue to revitalize not only the Samarinda K3 Center, but also other K3 Centers,” said Minister of Manpower Ri Ida Fauziyah at the Samarinda K3 Center Service Program Brainstorming and Workplace Hazard Control Strategies, Saturday (16/3/2024) in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
Minister of Manpower Ida said that the revitalization of the K3 Hall was carried out, both regarding Human Resources capabilities, K3 testing facilities and infrastructure, as well as building and building facilities. So that the massification and expansion of the range of K3 testing can be carried out as well as possible.
He encouraged the K3 Center to build collaboration and synergy with various K3 stakeholders at the national and regional levels. “This collaboration is absolutely carried out by the Samarinda K3 Center and all K3 Centers in Indonesia,” he said.
Apart from that, he encouraged the K3 Center’s work program to be directed at developing K3 personnel in the form of training and competency testing in the field of K3 in collaboration with various Professional Certification Institutions, K3 Service Companies, Hospitals, Universities, and Ministries or other Institutions. This activity is intended to support capacity building and empowerment of K3 personnel.
“Therefore, cooperation with stakeholder “K3 is also to overcome the limitations of inadequate human resources when compared to the ratio of service needs and work area coverage, which can have an impact on service delays,” he said. (S-1)
