Brazil Agency – The Official Journal of the Union publishes, this Friday (14), an ordinance that deals with the extension of the employment of the National Public Security Force (FNSP) in support of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, for 30 days, until May 13.
The presence of the National Force in Rio Grande Norte was requested by the state government last month, in view of attacks once morest buses and public and private buildings promoted by a criminal faction, in several cities.
According to the document signed by Minister Flávio Dino, the military will act in joint and coordinated actions with the public security agencies of the state, in the activities and services essential for the preservation of public order and the safety of people and preservation of property, on an episodic and planned basis. The FNSP will be headquartered in the city of Natal.
The number of military police officers to be made available will comply with the planning defined by the Directorate of the National Public Security Force of the National Public Security Secretariat. In March, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security deployed more than 800 soldiers to the state.
