Ministry of Interior Responds After Video of Security Man Assault Goes Viral in Saudi Arabia

A video clip of a person assaulting a security man inside a patrol in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, was circulated on social media, sparking an interaction among activists. The Saudi Ministry of Interior re-published the circulating video clip on its Snapchat page, commenting that the Riyadh region police initiated a report regarding a citizen assaulting his relatives, threatening them with a white weapon, and attacking a security man during his arrest. The Ministry of Interior stated that the man was dealt with appropriately and confirmed that he was under the influence of the drug methamphetamine (Shabu). Regular measures were taken once morest him, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
