The security services at the Ministry of the Interior revealed the circumstances of finding human parts, an “amputee foot,” in Hadayek El Maadi, Cairo.
In a statement on its official Facebook page, the ministry clarified the circumstances of the circulation of news on social media regarding the finding of human parts in the Maadi Gardens area in Cairo, with the examination showing that on the 5th of this month, the Maadi Police Department in the Cairo Security Directorate was informed of a “cleaning worker” finding an amputated foot. Inside a garbage bin in Hadayek El Maadi area.
And the statement continued, that following moving to the place of the communication and examination, it was found that there was an amputated foot wrapped in white gauze and a medical adhesive. By conducting investigations and collecting information, it was found that on the 3rd of this month, a surgical operation was performed in a hospital for a woman holding the nationality of one of the countries – amputation of the left foot following suffering from diabetes, and it was handed over. The amputated foot of her daughter holds the same nationality.
After being summoned, the daughter supported the above and added that she went to the cemetery area to bury the foot, but she was surprised that the cemetery workers asked for a burial permit, so she left and disposed of it by throwing it at the place where it was found.
Legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution Office took over the investigation.
