The Minister of Housing stressed the need to pay attention to the various works of the presidential initiative and services in different cities, and the importance of periodically monitoring the status of the implementation of units in the city, as a large number of housing units are being implemented in the city, which is witnessing a high demand for reserving units in the initiative.
In the same context, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Authority, received a working group of assistants to the heads of the New City Authority, within the framework of the assignments of Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities, and Dr. Walid Abbas, Assistant Minister and Supervisor of his office, By forming working groups of assistant heads of agencies to conduct visits to national projects in new cities to exchange experiences, identify obstacles, study solutions, and develop proposals for development.
Residential buildings for all Egyptians
He reviewed the agency’s efforts in implementing the units of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” the work of coordinating the general site and agriculture, and preparing a bicycle path, which is the largest in the “Housing for All Egyptians” projects, with a length of 5 km in Sector A, west of the airport. He also reviewed the position of the city’s service buildings, which number regarding 26 buildings. In terms of services, it has schools, markets, a social club, a youth center, health units, nurseries, and other services.
The head of the New October City Authority said that the construction work of the New October Industrial Power Station, through which the project is fed, with a total capacity of 625 megavolts, was also reviewed, and the work of the facilities of the New October Industrial Zone with a total area of 16 thousand acres was reviewed, stressing that there is interest from Developers and investors are interested in the region as part of the state’s encouragement for them and the region’s distinctive location near the October Dry Port, the Oasis Road and the regional road, as well as the Giza/Oasis railway line.
A housing project for all Egyptians in New October City
After that, the working group of assistant heads of city agencies made an inspection tour of housing projects for all Egyptians, the new October Industrial Electricity Transformer Station, in addition to a number of service projects in the city.
