The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the causes of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, which are as follows:
- Using antibiotics in a bad way and overusing them.
- Lack of attention to the personal hygiene of the individual, and lack of follow-up to preventive and control measures once morest infection.
- Using antibiotics without a doctor’s direction or without consulting him.
Details of the early detection of genetic diseases initiative
In a separate context, the Ministry of Health and Population launched an initiative for early detection of genetic diseases, within the scope of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Egyptian Republic, and the Egyptian people. The ministry stated that the aim of the initiative is the early detection of 19 genetic diseases that are likely to affect newborns.
The Ministry added that children are examined by conducting a medical survey of newborns by drawing a blood sample from the heel of the child, and the competent medical authorities in the Ministry analyze it to ensure that the child does not have any genetic diseases, and in the event that the sample is positive, the child is referred for a confirmatory test. of the disease, and following that treatment begins, and the Ministry confirmed that the initiative provides its services free of charge.
