Asunción, IP Agency.- During this week the National Hospital of Itauguá received three shipments of medical supplies, with surgical kits, oncological medications, serums, suture threads, among others.
The Ministry of Health reported its continuous effort to strengthen the response capacity of the country’s main referral hospital. The value of the inputs amounts to G. 5,958,487,510.
The last delivery included blister packs of Rifampicin + Isoniazid + Pyrazinamide + Ethambutol tablets, essential medications in the treatment of diseases such as tuberculosis.
In addition to the aforementioned medications, the hospital also received sterile major surgery kits and sterile minor surgery kits, essential elements for carrying out surgical interventions in optimal biosafety conditions.
Likewise, bottles of Hypertonic Dextrose Solution were included, an important input for the treatment of various medical conditions, including emergencies.
In two other shipments made this week, the Ministry of Health delivered infusion pumps, suture threads of various sizes, cotton, aspiration cannulas, belly pads, electrodes, serums, gloves, syringes; as well as oncological medications, antibiotics, both orally and parenterally, analgesics and medications from the Mental Health Program.
These deliveries add to the efforts of the Ministry of Health to guarantee that the country’s hospitals have the necessary resources to respond to patients.
