Pablo Zambrano, executive secretary of the Federation of Health Workers (Fetrasalud), reported Monday that a week following being fired, he was reinstated in his position by the Ministry of Health.

“A week following having denounced my irregular dismissal, today in a meeting with Dr. Ulices Rojas, director of Human Resources of the Ministry of Health and IVSS, I was informed that I have been reinstated in my position at the Car Peripheral Hospital” , wrote in Twitter.

He indicated that the restoration of their rights is a step in the right direction and that the fight for rights must be permanent.

“We know that this fight that we have undertaken is complex, we understand the difficulties that the country is experiencing. But it is also necessary to open minds and hearts to understand the pain of our colleagues », he said.

Zambrano assured that in order to achieve greater progress, everyone’s cooperation and effort is necessary. “This fight requires an effort from everyone and that is why we do our part to raise awareness on this issue.”

He thanked the shows of support he received in recent days, which filled him with strength, he said, to undertake his actions.

«This act of restitution of my rights is the sum of many voices that accompanied my complaint. We keep fighting,” said the union leader.

On August 17, Pablo Zambrano denounced that he had been fired from the Health Secretariat of Caracas, violating his trade union rights.

“I have been fired and removed from the payroll of the Health Secretariat of Caracas by verbal orders of Dr. Ulises Rojas, director of Human Resources of the Ministry of Health. Action that violates freedom of association, union immunity and labor immobility”, said the trade unionist.
