The Ministry of Health organized training for groups working in the vaccination sector in Aswan, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan.
Dr. Ehab Hanafi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Aswan, stated that the training program targeted categories of workers in the routine vaccinations sector, “nursing, health monitors, data entry and vaccination officials” within all health units and departments at the governorate level.
Dr. Ehab Hanafi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Aswan, added, in press statements, that these trainings aim to develop work performance in the vaccination sector, avoid obstacles facing the health system, raise coverage rates, and switch to the mechanization system as an alternative to the paper system. Ehab Hanafi added that the training program, It was implemented under the supervision of Dr. Mustafa Abu Al-Majd, Director of the Preventive Medicine Department in the Directorate over a period of 5 days, and under the supervision of Dr. Asmaa Nasr, Director of the Vaccinations Department, and Ahmed Atef, General Supervisor of Vaccinations in the Directorate.
And the Directorate of Health Affairs in Aswan concluded the work of the training program to introduce the digital transformation system and information analysis for workers in the preventive medicine sector, which comes within an integrated plan to be implemented in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to improve the health system and public and community health, within the framework of the ongoing efforts to implement the national project. Digital Egypt – and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
On the other hand, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the services of emergency teams for psychological support have been strengthened in hospitals (Al-Sadaqa, Abu Simbel International, Aswan for Mental Health), to receive the Sudanese and Egyptian brothers who arrived at the borders of the Arab Republic of Egypt to provide psychological support.
Abdul Ghaffar indicated that the services of the hotline 16328 of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment are available to those who need inquiries or psychological support, in addition to the services of the national electronic platform for mental health.
For her part, Dr. Menen Abdel-Maksoud, Secretary-General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, stated that the hotline team and the national platform for mental health services are being trained on the “Bridging the Gap” program in cooperation with the World Health Organization, to train non-psychiatry specialists to integrate mental health services and accommodate more patients.
Menan Abdel Maksoud stated that these services come within the framework of the political leadership’s keenness to support fraternal relations between peoples, in a way that helps brothers overcome crises and tribulations.
