Menen Abdel Maqsoud, Secretary General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment at the Ministry of Health, gave details of the ministry’s launch of a campaign to support those recovering from drugs, entitled “You can appreciate others.”
She added, during a phone call to the “Min Masr” program, presented by the journalist Amr Khalil, on the “CBC” screen, that there are a range of services and camps for young people inside hospitals aimed at protection, including recreational games with the aim of rehabilitating recovering youth.
She stated that the recoverers enjoy many activities and services during the journey of recovery from addiction, stressing: “Among the procedures for treating patients is the follow-up of the family to provide a calm atmosphere for the recovering patients.”
She pointed out that the campaign is present in 23 hospitals, and there are activities provided for recovering from addiction, to develop their skills and gain different experiences and many professions.
