Zambrano has been a defender of the rights of public workers, especially in the health sector, for years.
It is also one of the main voices of mobilization before the controversial instructions of the National Budget Office (Onapre) that suppresses various contractual benefits. Among them, the elimination of the vacation bonus for teachers that generated a wave of protests in the country. These resulted in the acceptance by Nicolás Maduro to cancel the entire bonus for educators and the dismissal of the director of Onapre.
He has also dedicated himself to denouncing the precarious conditions in Venezuelan hospitals, especially in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
