Ministry of Education and Culture Signs Contract for Museum Construction and Environmental Management for KCBN Muara Jambi – 2024-04-29 15:19:40

MARKING the implementation of the Muara Jambi National Cultural Heritage Area (KCBN) revitalization project, Friday (26/4), two work contracts were officially signed between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbudristek), through the Directorate General of Culture, with two service provider who will carry out the physical construction of the museum building as well as the physical construction of the Jambi KCBN environmental arrangement.

The signing was witnessed by the Director General of Culture Hilmar Farid, Secretary of the Directorate General of Culture Fitra Arda, Acting Inspector I of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Masrul Latif and Head of the Jambi Region V Cultural Preservation Center Agus Widiatmoko.

The physical construction contract for the construction of the museum was signed by the Head of PPK for Museum Development, M Natsir Muslim Ridwan and Senior Vice President Head of Building Operation Division PT PP (Persero) Andek Prabowo.

Meanwhile, the second contract, which concerns the physical construction of the environmental arrangement of cultural heritage areas, was signed by Environmental Management PPK Yanto HM Manurung and Senior Vice President of Operations Division 1 PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) Arviga Bigwanto.

“This signing has been well anticipated,” said Director General of Culture, Hilmar Farid.

“Since last year, we have been planning the arrangement of Muara Jambi and the construction of a museum. The President’s direct presence at the location accelerated the process, even though the process up to signing the contract took quite a long time.”

“We thank the Inspectorate General for overseeing this process carefully and efficiently. This project has prestigious value for us, because we aim to pass on culture, not just build and organize the environment. My message to those working in the field is please work diligently be careful, work cleanly and ensure that it complies with KPI,” he continued.

Furthermore, Andek Prabowo from PT PP (Persero) said, “I would like to express my gratitude for the trust given. This project has historical value for future generations. We hope to work synergistically, because the success of this project is the result of joint collaboration. We “We will pay close attention to the quality of the details. Muara Jambi is unique because museums are rarely built.”

Arviga Bigwanto, from PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), said, “With these results, we will strive to provide services in line with expectations. We hope that our experience in managing the environment in several tourist areas can meet expectations and produce products that are suitable for future generations. We ask for cooperation from all related parties so that this product can be of high quality.”

By signing this contract, it is hoped that the construction of the museum and environmental planning in the Muara Jambi National Cultural Heritage Area will become an important milestone in preserving the nation’s cultural heritage and provide sustainable benefits for future generations.

Since the beginning of this year, the Directorate General of Culture has started revitalizing the entire KCBN. The main focus is not only regarding physical improvements, but also regarding reviving important cultural values, involving the local community in the process. (RO/Z-1)
